Financing the Fight on Lead in Drinking Water

  • 301 Water Street Southeast Washington, DC, 20003 United States (map)

Replacing the nation’s estimated 10 million lead service lines is a financial challenge, even with funds from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. It’s critical to continue the focus on tackling this public health and environmental justice issue.

At Financing the Fight On Lead In Drinking Water, a group of experts from government, banking, and advocacy will discuss funding issues and how to advance the work. A member of Congress and White House official will provide remarks on federal actions.

The event will be held on Tuesday, May 16 from 1-4 p.m. Eastern at the Reservoir Center in Washington D.C. as part of Infrastructure Week 2023.

The options and opportunities for financing lead service line replacement will be talked about throughout the event, which will feature a number of speakers, a panel discussion with audience Q&A, and networking.
